Need help with my traxxas stampede

I need help figuring out what is wrong with my electric traxxas stampede. I dont know if the motor is messed up or what. When ever I turn the sterring the motor goes but when I give it throttle if wont do anything. Does anybody know what is wrong with it. It has the titan 12t motor its all stock. If you know what is wrong with it please tell me.

try switching your throttle and steering wires on your receiver around....sounds like you got them in the wrong slots right now...

Donald nailed it. Most likely your speed controller is in the receiver slot for the steering, and the steering is in the battery slot (which is why you get nothing on the throttle).

Any easy way to remember which channel is which is this-

1. Steering
2. Throttle

Think about how both of those words line up alphabetically and you have the channel number that they belong to. Steering comes first, so it's channel 1, Throttle comes second, so it's channel 2. Just an easy way to remember how to hook up ESC's and servos.


BTW, Vic taught me that about to 15-20 years ago..

lol i like that now the 2.4 tells you steering , throttle,aux,bind.....beginner proof now days...
