With heavy hearts we announce the passing of one of our R/C family and Novarossi USA Team Members. Leighton Dillard, AKA Big, passed away suddenly last weekend. He leaves behind his wife Shelley, daughter Jessica, and son Chris. We send our condolences and prayers to his family. Big, the gentle giant, is loved and admired by all of us fortunate to know him. He will live on in our hearts and memories. Godspeed our dear friend, you are missed by many. RIP

If any of y'all went to the BassPro races you'll remember him ... word is he was on the drivers stand in the middle of a heat race ...

I was there at the PNB when it happened. Really sad event. The organizers took up quite a collection for the family. At least he was doing something he loved.

I talked with the two guys who tried to revive Leighton for approximately 20 minutes. He was living his dream. He always wanted to race with the best in the world. I don't know how it happened, but in that qualifier were two of the best in the world. Adam Drake and Mike Truhue were in that qualifier. Leighton was on the far right if you are looking from behind. There were fifteen racers in the qualifer and some of the best in the world. He and I discussed family many times while we were working on that track. That was the love of his life and RC was second. He had a passion like no other for our hobby. We have lost a very special member of our RC Family and yes we are a family. I hope you will all be thiking about Leighton, Shelly, Jessie and Chris.


If you raced the Bass Pro series you knew who leighton was....I had the pleasure race with him one last time in New Orleans on the carpet track at the end of last year....I remember asking him what are doing here, this isn't dirt.. He said someone said road trip so he grabed his 12th scale...He was an off road racer, he would tell me that he had nothing for us in nitro touring... But he always asked me to race my truggy in Flowood so he could even the score...He will be missed...
