So after doing some research, apparently the Orange Beach track IS in existence after all. http://www.tidbitsofbaldwincounty.com/2 ... c-hobbies/

Orange Beach Power Sports & RC Hobbies recently opened a RC track for boats and airplanes. The track is currently open from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm on weekends. In January, they plan to open the RC track seven days a week. The track is located off Sweetwater on Canal Road in Orange Beach. Their store location is in Wolf Bay Plaza in Orange Beach at 25637 Canal Rd., Suite D. You can reach the sports department at 251-213-3135 and the RC department at 251-224-1695.

Here's the spot. Track is too recent to show-up on satellite. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=36526&hl= ... 6&t=h&z=20

Anyway, went by this weekend. It is kind of hidden in a city (county?) work area behind the water treatment plant. Due to rain I didn't bring any cars (secret beer run @ Piggly in Foley) but it actually looks pretty fun... has a little crossover and nice big table in the front. The lanes are sized perfectly. My only concern was I saw a mound of dirt (not clay) and it looked like it may have been used to fill-in some areas of one turn. Hope whoever is in-charge gets some clay in rather than that nasty dirt.

When it dries out I might go try and run it. The track has lots of potential. I am surprised it hasn't become the new Magnolia Springs. :)

I thought I would let pictures speak for themselves... click for HDR.
