yea i am hoping the motor for the vta and the lower pod place for the bmi will be here. i have to convert it to a 12rr rear pod..

You should have been able to just replace the bottom plate. If you're converting to the RR rear pod, I would have just updated to the Copperhead 12 for $50-60 more.

Stormer Hobbies has the old style lower pod plate-

they didnt have the lower plate n e more.. i beleive it will be the copper head pod

sorry i am wrong its just the rr rear pod not the copperhead. but i might just put it together and sell it and get a rc12r5 n e way

I will say this- The BMI is an absolute BEAST on asphalt. The R5.1 seems to handle carpet better. The BMI was so locked in at the rear that it was hard to get it to turn on the rug. That same locked in rear end let it carry a lot more speed in the turns on pavement without looping, though. The first time I drove my R5.1 was on pavement and I actually questioned my decision to switch until the first time that I ran on carpet. Then all I thought was "BMI..what??"

oh i am gonna try it out first. but i was lookin more into how easy it is to get parts for the r5.. i hope the parts are in the mail box today..
